He said the PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) installation on this runway is in the design phase, and he hopes it will be completed before the runway is recommissioned. Holbert said Pensacola Regional Airport has completed most of the reconstruction on the asphalt and infrastructure for the new hangers being added at the airport.

Holbert said he does not know of any issues at Peter Prince Airport. He said the gate seems to be working well. Holbert suggested the time it takes to close the gate be looked at to see if it can be shortened. He said more tenants might wait and ensure the gate closes if the gate closes faster.

Holbert gave an update on the Flightwatch Discovery Park Project at Pensacola Regional Airport. He said the only things lacking at the park are the Plaza of Honor and communication radios.

Holbert asked for clarification on the number of hangers being added to Peter Prince Airport. Blaylock said there will be 24 new hangers. Holbert asked if any bids have been received for the hangers. Blaylock said he is not sure if any bids have been received. He said the bids will be opened on May 29 th and the results will be available that afternoon.
