Text Messaging Guide
Some cellular providers charge for all text messaging. In an effort to keep you prepared but help limit charges, the following is a guide for messages sent via text message.

Forest Fires
When the fire may spread quickly endangering structures or cause impact to high volume traveled roads.

Hazardous Materials
When impact is going to be off-site, pose a danger to human life or impedes traffic flow to high volume traveled roads.

Road Closure
When impact is to high volume traveled roads.

Tornado Warnings
Tornado, flash flood, tropical storm, and hurricane warnings will be sent. Extensions to all tornado warnings will be sent via text. Extensions to flood warnings will only be sent if the extension is greater than one hour.

Email Alerts
All breaking news messages will be sent to email accounts.
