Gas Tax Projects


The six-cent gas tax, implemented January 1, 2016 paves the way for maintenance and improvements to the more than 1,500 miles of roads in Santa Rosa County.

Roadway maintenance includes road paving and resurfacing, dirt road grading, drainage work, bridge repair, road shoulder repair, roadside mowing, brush removal, retention pond maintenance, sign installation and repair, litter removal and numerous other services.

As of December 18, 2017, the county has spent $2,215,713.67 on resurfacing and paving projects since the tax was levied.
