Our Responsibilities

1. Plan review permitting and inspection of all new building structures or areas covered by the minimum fire safety standards in Florida Statute 633 and the county ordinance 2002-02.
   
   
2. Annual Inspection of all applicable buildings, structures or areas covered by Florida Statute 633 and county ordinance 2002-02.
   
   
3. Public education and consultation for fire safety in Santa Rosa County.
   
   
4. Acting staff for the fire protection code board of appeals.
   
   
5. Making it safer for fire fighters while fighting fires through enforcement of laws and codes.
