History:
The Board of County Commissioners approved and funded a new county Geographic Information System (GIS) in 2000/2001. The first step of GIS required color aerial photographs for all of Santa Rosa County. The first aerials were flown in January 2001 and new aerials that are now available that were flown between February and March of 2005. The county's Computer/GIS, Planning & Zoning, Building Inspections, Public Works, Environmental and Engineering Departments have worked very hard to provide, you, our citizens and customers, very valuable map information which will allow you to create custom maps on demand. The Property Appraiser's Office also has a very informative GIS parcel mapping system.

If you have any mapping questions or comments please email the County's Computer/GIS Department.
