Mosquito Problems?
Mosquito season is here and it’s time to review what homeowners can do to eliminate breeding sites.
The Santa Rosa County Mosquito Control is offering a free home mosquito inspection program. If you desire for someone to help you locate breeding sites around your home call 981-7135.
Tips on Eliminating Breeding Sites:
- Clean out eaves, troughs and gutters.
- Remove old tires, or drill holes in those used for playground equipment.
- Turn over or remove empty plastic pots.
- Pick up broken unused or discarded toys.
- Pick up all beverage containers and cups.
- Check boats or other unused items stored outside for collected water.
- Replace water in birdbaths or pet bowls at least once a week.
- Change water in bottom of plant containers at least once a week.
- Fix dripping faucets that create pools of water.
