SANTA ROSA COUNTY EMPLOYEE WINS STATEWIDE AWARD
Tara DeAguilera, Santa Rosa County Animal Services, was recognized at the annual Florida Animal Control Association conference last month held in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Tara was awarded the “Shelter Caregiver of the Year” by the Association. The Association was originally founded in 1961 as the Florida State Animal Control Officers Association (FACA). In 1984 the Association was reorganized and chartered as the Florida Animal Control Association. A non-profit organization, FACA is composed of individual, organizational, related associate, and corporate members.
Santa Rosa County Animal Services Director Dominic Perischini was elated with her selection saying, “We are all proud of her, she gives of herself way beyond what is expected of one of our employees, we are all just so happy for her.”
Santa Rosa County Commissioners will recognize her achievement at the Dec. 11th Committee Meeting, Santa Rosa County Administrative Center, 6495 Caroline Street, Milton.
