About Long Range Planning
Long Range Planning is about the future - creating a vision for growth within the local community. The Comprehensive Plan provides the framework for growth management and is designed to maintain and improve the quality of life for all citizens of the County.
Functions of Long Range Planning:
Provide public information and assistance
Administration and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan
Provide GIS Mapping Services for all elements of Growth Management which includes maintaining the Zoning, Existing and Future Land Use Maps.
Responsible for Special Projects
Provide Support to Emergency Service Function 5 (Planning) and Emergency Service Function 2 (Communications)
