Hello! We have reached a new stage in the planning process for the Navarre Town Center Plan and we’re busy preparing for that and tying up loose ends from the last phase. The Land Use and Infrastructure working groups have concluded their work. The recommendations from these two groups will be sent on to the Steering Group for consideration. Landscaping and Architecture still have some issues to work through, so they will meet again in joint session this Wednesday (July 28) at 5:30pm. At this meeting, these groups will discuss architecture recommendations for the Heart of Navarre District and streetscaping recommendations for the entire study area. We will summarize all the working group recommendations and post them on the website for everyone to review on Monday July 26, 2004..

 

The first Steering Group meeting is this  Tuesday July 27, 2004 at 5:30pm at Holley-Navarre Middle School. The purpose of this group is to:

·        Reconcile any conflicting recommendations from the working groups

·        Determine if district boundaries should be contracted or expanded based on the group recommendations

·        Consider timelines for improvements and note any conflicts

·        Consider funding mechanisms and make some recommendations on funding alternatives

 

Please find the meeting schedule through mid-August below. We invite any interested parties to attend the Steering Group meetings, but please be aware that the majority of the discourse will be among the Steering Group members.
