Pace Area Plan

The Santa Rosa County Pace Area Plan was conceptually adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on June 28, 2007.  Click here to view the entire Pace Area Plan. 

Initiated by Commissioner Tom Stewart, the Pace Area Plan will include a vision for the Pace Area that reflects the desires of current residents, property owners and community stakeholders. 

The planning process began with a Kick-off Meeting on October 30, 2006 which was attended by over 100 people.  Participants were asked to complete three activities:  an individual worksheet identifying community Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT Analysis);  a Group Map Exercise where participants were asked to identify their vision for the future of Pace; and a small Group Discussion where participants were asked what they like about the community, what they dislike, and what is their vision for the Pace area.

Workgroup Meetings

A workgroup made up of volunteers has been tasked with development of a draft Pace Area Plan.  The workgroup meets each Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Public Services Conference/Media Room located at 6051 Old Bagdad Hwy.
