Program delivery and its associated conservation work is a top priority for Blackwater Soil and Water Conservation District. Pulling mostly from a number of USDA Farm Bill conservation programs, the District partners up with willing landowners to provide technical and financial assistance with the installation of specific conservation practices and management systems that protect, restore, and even enhance their natural resources. Each Farm Bill program focuses on a distinct and different resource concern and requires the implementation of specific practices that will address these particular concerns. These Farm Bill programs not only help the District optimize natural resource health and the environment, but at the same time help maintain a viable working landscape for long term use by area landowners.
