Testing
  • Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital and Santa Rosa County have two drive-through testing sites.  Pre-registration required; call (850) 746-2684.
    • St. Sylvester Catholic Church - Tues. and Thurs., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
      6464 Gulf Breeze Pkwy. in Gulf Breeze
      There will be no testing on Tues., Nov. 3 as the church is a polling location.
    • Milton Community Center - Mon., Wed., and Fri., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Information on county testing sites:
  • No out of pocket cost or copay will be collected but bring photo ID and any insurance cards as insurance will be submitted.
  • Testing is subject to change due to inclement weather.
  • Testing will be nasal swabs.
  • These are not tests for antibodies.

Santa Rosa County
  • All county offices are open for business; appointments are encouraged. In some cases walk-in appointments may be available although lobby seating is limited and citizens may be asked to wait outside or in their vehicle until called.
  • Santa Rosa County libraries will open for computer use and "grab and go" browsing beginning Oct. 19. Find more information here.
  • Cloth face masks are available at all county libraries (see locations and hours). For more details, call 981-READ (7323).
  • The Florida Department of Health provides a detailed list of COVID data by county. This info changes daily. Santa Rosa County begins on page 111.

Santa Rosa County Health Department
  • "Individuals who have tested positive should not retest for at least three months," said County Health Administrator Sandra Park-O'Hara. "Once you've been infected, the genetic material may remain in your body for several months resulting in a continued positive test."
  • Santa Rosa DOH has masks available for individuals or businesses at 5527 Stewart St. in Milton or 5840 Gulf Breeze Pkwy. in Gulf Breeze. Call 850-564-2307.

Supervisor of Elections Office
  • Voters are encouraged to follow the latest CDC guidelines and be mindful of others. Masks are also encouraged. 
  • Voters may bring a black or blue ball point pen to fill in the ballot.
  • The number of occupants in the polling room may be limited. Polling rooms will be spaced for social distancing. Voters are encouraged to maintain social distancing.
  • Due to increased safety measures, in-person voting may take longer than usual. Voters are encouraged to be prepared to minimize time spent in the polling place. 
    • Residential address should be correct, call (850) 983-1900 to update.
    • Make decisions on voting preferences before arrival (bring a sample ballot).
    • Have photo and signature identification ready.

OneBlood
  • Everyone who is physically capable of donating plasma or blood is urged to do so during the pandemic. Convalescent plasma from recovered COVID patients is being evaluated as a treatment for those with serious or immediately life-threatening COVID infections. Donations can be scheduled online at OneBlood.org
  • OneBlood web site is testing all donations for the COVID-19 antibody. The antibody test will indicate if the donor has antibodies, regardless of presence of symptoms. 
  • Appointments to donate are required.
  • Do not donate if you are not feeling well or have a cough or fever. 

Feeding Programs
There are many feeding programs in the county where residents can pick up enough food for a family of four for at least a week. See the calendar for a complete schedule or map of closest location. There are no restrictions on who may utilize this program.

The USDA food distribution at Pineview United Methodist Church, 1400 Pineview Church Rd. in Jay, takes place every third Friday of the month from 9-11 a.m. (previously 2-4 p.m.). Must show valid ID and be registered. Call (850) 623-4289 for more information.

Feeding the Gulf Coast provides a search feature on their website to locate the closest food pantry or distribution event.
