The COVID-19 CARES-Act rental/mortgage assistance program administered by the Santa Rosa County Housing Dept. in 2020 has expired, any remaining funds were returned to the federal government per State guidelines.
For those residents seeking rental assistance provided by way of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program of 2021 approved by the Department of Treasury will need to apply through https://www.ourflorida.com/. We encourage residents seeking this type of assistance to use the Our Florida portal listed above, however, other local agencies may still have funding and will need to be contacted directly to inquire of their availability. Those agencies include: Opening Doors at 850-466-5379 or at www.openingdoorsnwfl.org and Interfaith Ministries at 850-934-8385
For those residents seeking mortgage assistance by way of the American Rescue Plan Act approved by the Department of Treasury will need to apply through the Florida Homeowner Assistance Fund.
