- File an Increase
If you have a VA rating decision and you wish to increase the rating, you will need substantial medical evidence showing how severe the issue has become after your rating decision.
At the bottom of this page is a link to make an appointment with one of our Veterans Services Officers, but before you make an appointment here’s what you will need to bring with you:
Who to call for previous VA rating decisions and award letters:
1-800-827-1000
VA Customer Service Hotline
You will also need copies of every medical record from every doctor’s office and/or medical center that treated you (including each doctor’s and medical center’s name, address and phone number) for every condition you are claiming.
All medical records must be paper copies, not CD or DVD.
Note: You are able to file for an increase in your service-connected disability and include any new conditions at the same time. Please click here for required evidence for new conditions.
