[ARCHIVED] Oriole Beach Boat Ramp closes for pier replacement

Replacement of the Oriole Beach boarding dock piers will begin Mon., July 20. The project includes demolition and removal of the existing boarding dock piers and reconstruction of the boarding dock piers with catwalks and terminal platform in the same footprint. A handicap-accessible parking space will also be included. Construction is expected to last approximately 90 days; the boat ramp will be closed until work is complete. 
“This grant-funded project will make the Oriole Beach Boat Ramp safer and more convenient for boaters. After a necessary closure, the ramp will be back in service as soon as possible,” said Commissioner Lane Lynchard, District 5.
