[ARCHIVED] Some roads experiencing flooding in south Santa Rosa

Thurs., Sept. 16, 4:25 p.m.

  • Report received of Avenida De Sol north of Torres St. in Navarre being flooded. Use caution when approaching this area and seek an alternate route.
  • The intersection of Ortega Street and Onich Drive in Navarre is closed due to flooding. Seek an alternate route.
  • High School Boulevard in Navarre has water on the road but is passable.

A flash flood warning is in effect for portions of the south end of Santa Rosa County until 8:15 p.m. According to the National Weather Service Mobile, one to three inches of rain has already fallen and more heavy rain is expected. Never cross a flooded roadway. There is no way to tell how deep the water is or if the road has been compromised.
