Cooler weather brings the opportunity to plant trees! UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County will host a tree and plant sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Sat., Oct. 23 at the extension office, 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton. This event is made possible by the Santa Rosa County Master Gardener volunteers. Trees are available for $10 to $25 each. Annuals and perennials are $3 each.
Tree species include camellia, chaste tree, ornamental cherry, dahoon holly, magnolias, bald and pond cypress, poplar, cedar, sycamore, winged elm, senna and four species of oak. Sizes range from one to seven gallons.
