Become a better gardener with the Gardening in the Panhandle e-newsletter
With COVID-19 keeping people close to home, many now find time for home landscapes and vegetable gardens, but how does one sort through conflicting gardening advice?
Gardening in the Panhandle is a free weekly e-newsletter created by the University of Florida/IFAS Northwest District Horticulture Team. It presents research-based home lawn and garden information in an easy to understand, conversational style. The newsletter has three to five feature articles (and a video or two) on current garden and landscape topics by UF/IFAS Extension agents who are experienced in panhandle horticulture. It is distributed every Thursday afternoon to 6,000 subscribers.
Subscribing to the newsletter is easy. Visit nwdistrict.ifas.ufl.edu/hort (or google “Gardening in the Panhandle” to find the website) and click “Subscribe” on the home page. This newsletter does not contain spam, advertising, will never share subscriber information and will keep the content relevant and free.
In addition to the newsletter, the website has an extensive gardening library going back nearly a decade, several hundred articles deep and the Facebook page provides a forum and a place to ask questions and get answers from the horticulture team.
In these trying times, get out and garden and let the UF/IFAS Northwest District Horticulture Team assist you. Subscribe and become a better gardener today. For more information or questions, contact Mary Salinas at firstname.lastname@example.org or 850-623-3868.
