Public input for RESTORE MYIP amendment ends Sept. 15

The 45-day public input and review period for the second proposed amendment to the Multi-Year Implementation Plan (MYIP) ends next week. Residents can view the proposed MYIP amendments at www.santarosa.fl.gov/539/RESTORE-Act. Hard copies are also available for review from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Grants and Special Programs office located in Suite G at 6495 Caroline St. in Milton. Residents should submit written comments to grants@santarosa.fl.gov or by mail to mentioned address, Attn: RESTORE Program Manager.  All comments must be received by Sept. 15 at 4:30 p.m. before the amended plan is sent to the U.S. Treasury Department for consideration.

The RESTORE Act requires Santa Rosa County to create a MYIP which is submitted to the U.S. Treasury Department for consideration and acceptance. The plan was initially accepted by Treasury in May 2017 and was first amended in Sept. 2019. The county may periodically amend its plan as needed following public input and acceptance by Treasury.

For questions regarding the public comment period, contact Naisy Dolar, RESTORE program manager, 850-981-2019.
