In 2020, animal services has saved pets suffering from physical injuries like fractured bones and gunshot wounds, to hidden diseases like parvovirus and heart worms. With a veterinarian on staff, the shelter can provide in-house surgeries beyond spay/neuter, such as amputations and tumor removals.
"This medical fund has allowed my team to help several animals this year," said Dr. Megan Arevalo, animal services veterinarian. "We wouldn't have been able to save these pets without our community helping us raise necessary funds."
The shelter's goal is to raise $10,000 for their medical fund during Giving Tuesday to save more pets during 2021. Donate online, or mail cash or check to the shelter at 4451 Pine Forest Rd., Milton, FL 32583. All donations count to help the shelter reach their goal.
