Florida Master Naturalist Program Hosts
Kayaking Trip and Seminar


The Northwest Florida Panhandle Friends Chapter is hosting two fund-raising events for the Florida Master Naturalist Foundation. The Friends Chapter was created in 2017 for conservation and natural history education through camaraderie and outdoor adventures. The chapter partners with the UF/IFAS Extension and Sea Grant Florida to host events and educate the public on natural resource conservation.

Cypress Spring Kayaking Trip

The Friends Chapter will host a kayaking trip to Cypress Springs with founder Dr. Marty Main, UF|IFAS Extension and Florida Sea Grant. The group will meet at 12:30 p.m., Tues., Apr. 2 at Culpepper Landing, 3081 Culpepper Lane in Vernon. Kayaks are provided but space is limited. Tickets are $35 per person plus registration fee and can be purchased online.

Founder’s Seminar
Learn about the mission of the Florida Master Naturalist Program from founder Dr. Marty Main, Wed., Apr. 3, 10 a.m. in Bldg. 400/Rm. 132/133 at Northwest Florida State College, 100 E.
