Shelter to offer free microchipping with each dog adoption

October is National Adopt A Shelter Dog Month and the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter is celebrating by giving free Home Again microchips to every dog adopted through October 31. 

"A nominal fee for a lifetime registration of the microchip is required by the pet owner," said Shelter Manager Dora Thomason. "It's a very small price to pay for the security and peace of mind should your pet become lost or stolen."
