Santa Rosa County cancels household hazardous waste Amnesty Day due to the potential for inclement weather
The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Amnesty Day previously scheduled for Sat., Oct. 19 at the Santa Rosa County South Service Center, is cancelled due to the potential for inclement weather from the tropical system in the gulf. Santa Rosa residents can dispose of household hazardous waste, including sharps Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the HHW center at the entrance to the Central Landfill, 6337 Da Lisa Road in Milton. Regular, light duty, truck or car tires are accepted for $5 each year round and a waste tire amnesty day will be held the last Saturday of October, November and December where up to eight tires can be disposed of at no cost.
